Driving Times From Metro New York To:
Danbury: One hour and ten minutes
Waterbury: One hour and a half

General Driving Directions:
From Long Island, New York City or Westchester County: Take the Henry Hudson Pkwy to Saw Mill River Pkwy to I-684 North to I-84 East to Danbury. For Litchfield continue on I-84 and take Rte. 8 North. For Waterbury continue on I-84 and take Exit 22.
From New Jersey: Tappen Zee Bridge, Exit 8 to either Rte. 287 East or the Sawmill River Pkwy to I-684 North to I-84 East to Danbury. Follow above directions.
From Boston or Hartford: Mass Turnpike (90) West to Sturbridge Exit to I-84 West. For Waterbury take exit 22, for Litchfield take Rte. 8 North and for Danbury take Exits 2-8.
Two Roads Link Litchfield Hills and Fairfield County including:
ROUTE 7: This is one of Western Connecticut's major north-south arteries that links Fairfield County to Litchfield Hills. Route 7 begins in Norwalk as a six-lane super highway and continues through Wilton, Ridgefield, Danbury, New Milford and Kent to points north as a scenic two-lane country road.
ROUTE 8/25: The second major north-south artery, this route links Fairfield County and the city of Bridgeport with points north such as Waterbury, Southbury and Danbury in the Litchfield Hills.
