Artists were invited to submit works in any medium (e.g. Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Photography, Pastel, Ink, Graphite, Drawing, Print, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Assemblage, Fabric, Stone, Clay, Metal) that respond to, and reflect the artist's interpretation of the themes of chairs, sitting or seating. The show will be presented in conjunction with an exhibition of the museum's collection of antique chairs from various times and sources in Sharon's history. Wednesday through Friday from 12-4, Saturday 10-2 and by appointment.

In 1948 Carl Bozenski, Torrington's Parks and Recreation Supervisor, invited Santa Claus to spend the three weeks before Christmas at Alvord Playground. Along for the trip from the North Pole came Santa's reindeer and his helpers. Since that time, Santa has returned here each year.
